Robin is a princess, but she is also foremost a little girl with powerful ideas and a love for adventure! Your child can tag along with Robin and her friends on three separate adventures. Whether its going underground, getting lost in magical cities, or being chased by pirates and witches, this book was an absolute delight to read.

With engaging pages that break the 4th wall and allow your child to be part of the problem solving, this one will be a hit as a bedtime read.

Plot: Very appropriate for the target demographic! Robin is a bored little girl, who is only a princess by title, and not by action. The book introduces a lot of side characters and elements that make it ripe for expansion, but on its own, feel a little disconnected. However, it fits well for small children as they are not so keen to question the premise and enjoy stories that are more fantastical and do not require, or even wish to have a logistical explanation for the fantastical elements.

Characters: There are many characters within this book and each story builds upon the development of the characters before it. Robin and her friends (the four brothers she met on the first adventure) are the main characters, but we get to know the supporting roles better with each subsequent story.

Clarity: The comic is very well done, with panels that are easy to follow even for my 3-year-old. I understand my child is not the target demographic, but this book was very good as a read-aloud for a preschooler. The flow is very clear, and the added elements which were outside of a normal comic flow were very well implemented.

Dumpling Score: This category is just for fun! It’s how much my little dumplings enjoyed the book. Well, they loved this book, and we have read it countless times. Gauging from their interest, this book scores very high!
